Common Questions
Should I upgrade my fusebox?

Modern consumer units include enhanced safety features such as RCD, RCBO, and surge protection, helping to protect your family from electric shock, electrical faults, fires, and damage to valuable appliances & electronics. If your fusebox is older or lacks these protections, an upgrade may be worth considering.

What type of fuseboards do you do?

We install and replace all types of consumer units and distribution boards, from domestic single-phase fuseboards to larger three-phase systems. All installations are designed to current standards and include RCD protection and surge protection devices (SPDs) where required.

What is RCD protection?

Residual Current Device (RCD) protection is a safety system that can quickly switch off the electricity if it detects a fault. This provides vital protection against electric shock, particularly in situations involving water, damaged appliances, or accidental contact with live parts.

What is SPD protection?

Surge Protection Devices (SPDs) help protect your home’s electrical installation and valuable electronics from sudden voltage spikes. These surges can be caused by lightning strikes, power network faults, or switching events, potentially damaging appliances, TVs, computers, EV chargers, and other sensitive equipment.
