Electrical safety reports for homeowners, landlords and residential properties.
EICRs for residences
We provide professional Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) for homeowners, landlords, letting agents, and property buyers. Whether you’re purchasing a property, preparing for a sale, managing a rental, or simply want peace of mind, our thorough inspections help ensure your electrical installation remains safe, compliant, and fit for continued use.
What is an EICR ?
An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a detailed inspection of your existing electrical installation. It identifies damage, deterioration, defects, or non-compliance with current regulations and confirms whether the system is safe for continued use.
How often do I need an EICR ?
For most homes, an EICR is recommended every 10 years for owner-occupied properties and every 5 years for rentals. It is also commonly carried out when buying, selling, letting, after significant electrical alterations, or if there are concerns about the condition of the installation.
What happens if my report is unsatisfactory?
Any issues found will be clearly listed and coded in the report. We always provide an honest assessment with straightforward recommendations for any remedial work required. While urgent or dangerous defects should be addressed promptly, everything is explained transparently so you can make informed decisions.
Do you carry out remedial works ?
Yes. If your EICR identifies any defects or non-compliances, we can provide a clear quotation for any recommended remedial works and carry out the necessary repairs to help bring the installation up to a safe and satisfactory standard.
